When Kristi first contacted us about filming their Luckenbach, Texas, wedding on Super 8mm film, I was SO excited. She is an art director from Seattle, and just by watching their Save the Date video, I knew this wedding would be so fun and creative. And it was!! Colorful, thoughtful, handmade and hand-selected details abounded. The couple are big fans of Wes Anderson, we took that inspiration into our filmmaking.
The locations could not have been any cooler. The Hangar Hotel in Fredericksburg, Texas, was a true gem and provided so many cinematic moments. We did their First “non” Look at an airplane–when the couple got to hold hands without actually seeing each other. A pilot even came out and let the bride in the plane!! Such a fun, spontaneous moment.
And the reception at Luckenbach, Texas, was just special. A one-of-a-kind location, it was a joy to film there–from the old post office sign to a longhorn! We enjoyed working alongside Dallas photographer Natalie Shelton of NBarrett Photography, too!
