When I first started planning my own wedding, I was in love with the idea of a ’50s inspired wedding. I’m obsessed with anything mid-century, and the thought of having a flared, tea-length gown and a colorful crinoline got me excited. I also was entertaining the idea of a Sunday brunch wedding, complete with punch, which would have fit a retro ’50s wedding perfectly (and kept costs low)! Ultimately, stumbling across the perfect, eclectic venue led me on a completely different path, but I still kept the retro polka-dotted bird cage veil and a few other ’50s-inspired elements like the aqua and red palette and my peep-toes shoes in our wedding day style. We’d love to film a ’50s inspired wedding on Super 8mm film! It would look so chic and nostalgic on colorful reversal film! Watch this Dallas wedding film on Super 8mm with retro touches (her dress, his suit, her glasses, and Audrey Hepburn’s Roman Holiday playing in the background!)
