Michal & Michael’s Summer Camp Wedding Video

Michal & Michael’s Summer Camp Wedding Video

super 8 wedding film texasMichal and Michael, where do I even begin with these two…? We first met them on my birthday on the Whole Foods patio over coffee on a lazy Sunday morning and we both instantly realized that we really, really wanted to film their wedding. This is after I had a little introduction via their wedding site complete with and awesome handmade stop-motion Save the Date video where I learned their first date was at a Mates of State concert I happened to be at as well. They were full of charisma, ideas, and excitement, and we got excited about their wedding right along with them. quirky wedding videoThen we just had to wait almost four months to film it! Here are just a few of the of the many reasons it was such an awesome celebration and so one-of-a-kind:

  • The groom snuck the Last of the Mohicans soundtrack into a boombox while guests were doing archery the morning of the wedding.
  • In addition to archery, wedding morning activities included a ropes course, canoeing, and wacky relay created by the groom; the gals went swimming and played some volleyball.canoe wedding procession
  • The groom left a little trail of jelly beans down the aisle because they are the bride’s favorite!
  • The groom arrived to the ceremony via canoe the end title sequence song from the Star Wars soundtrack (we’ll share a long clip of this, soon, too!)
  • Their sweet dog Marley was their ring bearer and took part in the entire celebration.
  • The couple made their reception entrance on stick ponies and burst through a banner!
  • The groom slack lined to “I Walk the Line” to relive a moment from an early date of theirs.
  • They then danced a charmingly choreographed first dance to Ain’t That a Kick in the Head?
  • Instead of rice, birdseed, bubbles, or sparklers, these two had light sabers for their exit, and galloped on their stick ponies into the night, with their sweet pup following them!

Needless to say, it was hard to not fall in love with these two, so totally perfect for each other. The love and warmth on their wedding day day was so tangible. We wish them a lifetime of love and happiness and fun, which I don’t imagine will be too hard for them. We are lucky we got to be a part of their wedding and are excited to present their highlight film!
